During the replacement process, the placement, inspection and installation of optical lenses should be done to prevent the lenses from being damaged and polluted. After a new lens is installed, it should be cleaned regularly.
When the laser cuts the material, the working surface will release a large amount of gas. When the laser cuts the material, the working surface will release a large amount of gas and spatter, which will cause damage to the lens. When contaminants land on the lens surface, they will absorb energy from the laser beam, causing thermal lensing. If the lens is not yet thermally stressed, the operator can disassemble it and clean it.
During the installation and cleaning process of the lens, any sticky matter, even oil droplets printed on the nail, will increase the absorption rate of the lens and reduce the service life. Therefore, the following precautions must be taken:
Never use bare fingers to install lenses. Finger cots or rubber gloves should be worn.
Do not use sharp instruments to avoid scratching the lens surface.
Do not touch the film layer when taking the lens, but hold the edge of the lens.
Lenses should be inspected and cleaned in a dry, clean place. A good bench surface will have several layers of cleaning paper towels on it, as well as several cleaning lens tissues.
Users should avoid talking over the lenses and keep food, drink and other potential contaminants out of the work environment.
